Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Centre, located in Yirrkala, Northeast Arnhem Land, is an Indigenous community-controlled art centre. With a primarily Yolŋu staff, they serve Yirrkala and surrounding homeland centres. The centre was established in 1976 by Yolŋu artists as an act of self-determination, growing from a small beachfront gallery to a thriving business that globally exhibits and sells Yolŋu art. The centre encompasses the Yirrkala Art Centre, showcasing contemporary art, and The Mulka Project, a digital production studio, archiving centre, and museum. The centre offers a diverse range of products from statuesque artefacts, to prints and jewellery.
