AGWA Design Store is passionate about local artists and designers.

The Design Store loves to support Western Australian artisans and emerging designers who are at the top of their field.

“We are proud to collaborate with an array of local creatives who are producing unique, beautiful and quality offerings,” said store manager Thalia Sanches.

This week we welcome Perth-based ceramist Jackie Masters to the Design Store family.

Internationally recognised for her vibrant and textured creations, inspired by the Australian landscape, Jackie began her pottery journey in 1994.

“The incredible Australian landscape and its enchanting colours provide infinite inspiration for my handmade glazes; from the vivid blues of the ocean, the greens of our bushland to the vibrant reds of the ore that stains much of our vast country,” said Jackie.

“Australian raw earth minerals, oxides and sands are incorporated into both clay and glazes, capturing not only the spirit of the land, but the true essence of Australia, making each creation a unique work of art,” she adds.

Jackie’s award-winning work is featured in private collections across the globe, and she is proud to be a full-time career artisan.

“I make things that make me smile, creating things of beauty, that are decorative and provide joy to the people who own them. People see different things in my work, it makes them think of a place or a moment in time and gives them something to pick up and to love,” said Jackie.
