Step into AGWA Design Store and journey with TIME - RONE

As AGWA prepares to unveil its newest and most ambitious exhibition, our Design Store has had a drop of exclusive products to celebrate the occasion.

For the first time, acclaimed multi-disciplinary artist Rone will exhibit at AGWA in the historical Centenary Galleries in a fully immersive exhibition.

TIME • RONE breathes life into a lost era of Australian history. Profoundly atmospheric, the exhibition blends soundscapes, murals and installations to ask questions about what we leave behind.

To commemorate TIME • RONE, AGWA has curated its own sensory experience, with local candle artisan, Margot Charters. Margot’s Aromatherapy Lab candles are hand-made and feature natural soy wax and pure essential oils, poured into a luxury, recyclable sandstone vessel.

“We wanted to create a scent that embodied the space. These two candles are fresh and exciting and offer a lovely background scent that encapsulates the remarkable scenes created by Rone,” said Design Store curator, Robert Marshall.

Also exclusive to AGWA are bespoke time pieces created by emerging designer Mia Wickett. Mia’s love for watch designs came from her grandfather who worked as a watchmaker. She now visits thrift shops and takes discarded watches and transforms them into unique, sustainable items including chokers and necklaces.

“I like to think that Mercy jewellery is more than just art, it is a wearable tapestry of memories and experiences,” said Mia.

Mia has been guided on her journey by AGWA Design Store curator Leith Groves.

“Mercy by Mia is a unique brand. Mia is only 20 years old, but the skill she already shows is impressive,” said Leith.

The Design Store will also offer TIME RONE t-shirts and totes and stunning greeting cards, one showcasing the new room, exclusive for this Perth show. We are excited to also announce a Rone pop-up store, for you to shop keepsakes and exhibition mementos.
