Mario Santanilla’s Still Life moves across personal anecdotes, history, cultural memory and scientific curiosities, taking readers on a virtual journey through an eclectic range of sights and stories. From the Apollo moon landing and films of Chris Marker to NASA’s 3D archive, Toy Story and the first YouTube video, the book is at once factual and speculative, poetic and analytical—exploring how we see, understand and represent the world around us.
