Growing up in Perth, O'Connor's childhood was filled with a mix of cultures and plenty of pop influences. He'd ride around town on his BMX singing tunes from the Village People to the Pet Shop Boys, with the iconic Marlboro Man greeting him from magazines and billboards. His childhood dreams of being whisked away on a cowboy adventure, and fascination of beasts from the wild frontier, have inspired a range of ceramics and fashion pieces. Each item has a nod to cowboy style, plus a hint of queer innuendo.
