Melbourne artist Kate Rohde uses hand modelling and casting techniques to produce discreet functional and sculptural objects. Inspired by historical decorative arts, Rohde loves Baroque, Rococo and Art Nouveau. Her exclusive pieces at AGWA include bold statement vases, sculptures and maximalist jewellery created in food-safe resin. Fascinated with intense colours, Rohde's various skills and interests have seen her work in several creative arenas, including collaborating with Australian fashion house, Romance was Born on its Renaissance Dinosaur collection in 2010.
The Swirling Antler Bowl draws inspiration from ancient classical bowl designs, with its beautiful deer antler design and roccoco style features. It's a perfect choice for storing small objects, candies, or petite floral compositions.
