Janelle Peterson is a ceramic artist living in Albany, Western Australia. After completing a Visual Arts Degree in 2006 at Curtin University she worked in many mediums including assemblage, printmaking and textiles. She rediscovered ceramics in 2016 and her work features Australian plants and animals who coexist with her whimsical characters and storytelling.
This unique ceramic budgie is high-fired with underglaze, clear glaze, and gold lustre. It features a wire loop for hanging, with the angle adjustable by placing a small nail near its tail for support.
