Chester Nealie is internationally recognised for his distinctive approach to wood-fired ceramics. His wheel-thrown vessels begin with classical forms before being altered to give each piece individuality, complemented by the spontaneity of flame firing. Chester has lectured, built kilns and conducted firings internationally. His work celebrates the freedom and joy of handmaking alongside the unpredictable alchemy of the wood-firing process.
