This striking sculpture represents a sun and is executed in white clay with a vivid blue finish and engravings representing the face of the sun, while geometrical decorations engrave the base. The rays of the sun are poetically evoked by a crown of lighter blue triangles surrounding the top of the piece that was designed by Bitossi's then artistic director, Aldo Londi, in 1953.
Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of this vase, each piece may exhibit slight variations, adding to its unique charm. The Rimini Blu series is inspired by the various shades of colors that are fixed under the blue glaze and, after being heated, reproduce the magical reflections of light in the sea.
