Joanna Lamb is an artist from Perth, Western Australia.Through a practice of painting hard-edged and refined compositions depicting urban and suburban landscapes, Joanna's work is an exploration of the everyday. Stylistically, the works waver between realism and abstraction. Her workshave a mechanical feel which often belie their handmade process and painted surface. This method of working produces a distanced anonymity through purification of colour, dimensionality and form. The everyday environments depicted in the works portray a heightened reality that is at once familiar and unfamiliar.
