Murujuga: Dynamics of the Dreaming

The Murujuga: Dynamics of the Dreaming Project (LP140100393) was an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Project that ran from 2014 to 2018. It was a collaborative effort involving the Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation (MAC), Rio Tinto, and the Centre for Rock Art Research and Management (CRAR+M) at the University of Western Australia (UWA). The project's objective was to provide research support for the protection and understanding of the Murujuga (Burrup Peninsula) and Dampier Archipelago, home to the world’s largest rock art galleries. This research spanned both ancient and modern values, aiming to elucidate the scientific and cultural significance of this National Heritage Listed site and to assist in its World Heritage nomination.
