The Khalili Collection of kimonos features over 200 garments, spanning 300 years of Japanese textile artistry. Despite the kimono's consistent form, the collection reveals a stunning variety of designs. It includes formal, semi-formal, and informal garments worn by men, women, and children, highlighting the samurai elite, merchant classes of the Edo period, and the bold kimono styles of the Taisho and early Sho-wa eras.
