Abdulhamid Kircher - New Genesis

Exhibiting artist in AGWA’s No night is long enough for us to dream twice, Abdulhamid Kircher turns his lens to the crisis of care in the United States in New Genesis.

Made between 2022 and 2025, the book centres on Sierra Kiss and her young family, whom Kircher photographed over four years as they navigated homelessness, addiction, domestic abuse and repeated encounters with systems of support. Intimate photographs are interwoven with texts drawn from Kiss’ Instagram stories, creating a personal account of survival, motherhood and resilience while examining how poverty, institutional neglect and generational trauma shape family life.
