Welcome to the world of Yoshitomo Nara

March 02, 2023

AGWA Design Store celebrates the first Australian solo exhibition of acclaimed Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara

Yoshitomo Nara is a pioneering figure in contemporary art whose signature style – which expresses children in a range of emotional complexities from resistance and rebellion to quietude and contemplation – celebrates the introspective freedom of the imagination and the individual.

Nara was in Perth at the weekend for the launch – Reach Out to The Moon, Even if We Can’t – his first Australian solo exhibition. AGWA is proud to be hosting this exhibition which brings together major sculptural works alongside paintings, drawings, ceramics, and photography by Nara.

To celebrate, AGWA Design Store has an exclusive range of exhibition keepsakes. We invite you to explore and imagine Nara’s world.
