PASSION AND ROUTINE emerging designer collab

As part of the AGWA Design Store’s commitment to support emerging designers, we have opened our doors to a bright and talented group of young creatives.

Growing its Pulse visual arts initiative into a multi-dimensional program that embraces all creative artforms, the Design Store is excited to introduce you to emerging fashion designers Paul Ramsay and Dimitrije Simic.

22-year-old Paul and Dimitrije, 24, are recent North Metro TAFE fashion graduates. They each have their own labels but for this Pulse project, they’ve been mentored and supported by our Design Store curators, Leith Groves and Rob Marshall.

“This is a perfect example of a Pulse initiative and what young, up and coming talent can do if they are supported by industry.” Rob Marshall

As a result, the pair will be showing and selling their products for the first time in a retail environment.

“This is the first time we have been stocked anywhere and it is an awesome opportunity. “We are so grateful to have been given a platform where we can demonstrate our ability,” said Dimitrije Simic.

“We have learnt so much during this process. The Design Store was so supportive of our designs. We are really happy with the outcome,” said Paul Ramsay.

Design Store curator Leith Groves was impressed by the work ethic of the design duo.

“We love the enthusiasm and attention to detail that Paul and Dimitrije have demonstrated. Their energy is contagious, and we feel proud to have been on this journey with them,” said Leith.

“The Design Store wants to be innovative, and our aim is to constantly deliver new trends, new products and new designers. This collaboration delivers all of that.”
