Published alongside the artists first major career survey at AGWA, Sandra Black: Holding light features photographs of Black’s work, a chronology of her life, and an essay by exhibition curator Isobel Wise. The book traces Black’s journey from her childhood in regional Victoria to her emergence as an artist of international renown, and chronicles her career path as she refined her techniques and pushed the boundaries of what could be achieved through the medium of clay.
