The beautiful imagery and poetic musings of photographer Henry Roy are unveiled at AGWA this weekend. In a world-first the legendary photographer will hold his first survey at the Gallery. The exhibition, titled Henry Roy – Impossible Island draws on 40 years of Henry Roy’s recollections and observations from across the world, including his native Haiti. To celebrate Henry Roy’s photographic journey, the AGWA Design Store will launch a new publication this weekend. Created by AGWA in collaboration with Loose Joints Publishing, the 160-page hardcover photo book features full-colour plate atmospheric imagery from the exhibition, with poetic texts by Henry Roy and an essay from AGWA Curator Robert Cook. |
